A financially independent woman can choose to leave or has the possibility to escape violence because she can afford it and her fear of how she will survive are minimal.

Another bonus reason is that being financially independent sets a good example for your girl children and other young women. It also enables you to leave a legacy for them. If you are fully dependent on a man and you no longer have him in your life how will you survive?
