For example, if you're the boss lady, then you likely have a lot of expectations and you need to be able to set and follow rules. If you're not able to do this, then you'll quickly become a drama magnet.
Remember, you're the boss and you need to set the tone for the office. If you're constantly fighting with your employees or collaborators, it's going to reflect poorly on you.
2. Build a drama-free brand
Building a good brand is essential if you want to be drama free as a boss lady. It is what will separate you from the rest as being drama free makes you classy. This applies to the creative industry. There are many people in the creative industry who are not passionate about it.
But let's look at those with the passion and the results they get. When you hear an actor say they couldn't stop auditioning for acting roles despite their hard life. It makes you wonder why they didn't choose another career and or focus on the 9-5 job they had at the time when they were struggling. They probably would have had a promotion or earned more money and live a comfortable life. But no. They insisted until they made it in acting.
From this, it is important to note that it is ok to live a life with the desire to succeed in anything legally and morally possible but it is extraordinary to live a life filled with passion and love for something you do. That is why we are inspired by the stories of those who followed their passion and never gave up on it. That is why their success is different and more meaningful.
You must not love what you do as a creative but in order for you to excel better and more meaningfully, you need passion to keep driving you until you succeed. You also need passion to tell a better story.

She went from being a child bride in a village in Zimbabwe to become a PhD holder and Oprah's all-time favourite guest. Her story shows that a better life starts with a dream and is realized with persistent work and belief in our abilities to overcome every obstacle.
Her parents, husband, motherhood and poverty didn't stop her from dreaming and attempting to fulfil that dream. Now she helps other girls to have access to opportunities she didn't have while growing up.
I hope the stories of these women make you feel that African women can break taboos and boundaries and become anything they set their minds to. It also tells us that we should never be ashamed of being African and use it to our advantage Mo Abudu was born in London but she became successful in Nigeria and on the African continent.
