I was shocked—in the best way.
When I saw the email telling me that my blog was listed among FeedSpot’s Top Black Female Blogs on the Web, I honestly couldn’t believe it. I read it, then read it again. There was this rush of emotions—happiness, pride, disbelief, gratitude… all mixed into one big moment.
I clicked on the link, scrolled through the list, and there it was—My Local Adventures Blog listed (number 38) alongside other incredible bloggers from all over the world. I just sat there and smiled. It was such a powerful feeling to be seen. To be recognized. To know that someone, somewhere, found value in my words and my little space on the internet.
Blogging is such a quiet thing. Most of the time, it feels like you’re writing into the void—sharing your life, your thoughts, your lessons, without always knowing who’s reading or how it’s landing. So when something like this happens, it feels like a little spotlight shining back on you. A moment that says, “Hey, we see you. Your work matters.”
And that is such an amazing feeling.
To anyone out there creating, especially women who are blogging (I feel like I am holding an award now, lol) in between life, motherhood, healing, growing, and rebuilding—I just want to say: keep going. Even when it feels quiet. Even when it feels like no one is watching. You never know who’s reading, learning, or being inspired because of you.
Thank you so much to everyone who reads, shares, comments on, or supports my work in any way. You are part of this. 🧡
