Currently | Morning Walks, Corn Season & Little Things Making Me Happy

Hope you're doing well.
I thought I'd share a "Currently I Am" post to mark the beginning of the week.
Currently Watching
I've been rewatching some of my favourite Nollywood romance movies again on YouTube. If you know me, you already know my love for romance movies. I go back to watch the ones I really loved and the lovely steamy scenes too, lol. Please, if you are on the team, 'no kissing in movies,' no vex o. But I do appreciate romantic scenes that fit the movie, the moments that make the movie magical and full of emotions.
It's comforting to put on a movie you've already watched and simply enjoy the chemistry, the conversations, and all the little moments you already know are coming.
Currently Eating
Roasted corn, groundnuts and plums (Safou).
I was hoping to travel home during the holidays, where they are in abundance, but that isn't possible right now. So whenever I have the chance, I buy some from the roadside instead.
It's not exactly the same as eating them back home, but it still makes me happy.
Currently Thinking About
The next school year.
It's funny how quickly school holidays go by these days. Maybe because I'm now a parent. It feels like we just started, and already I'm thinking about registration, school supplies, and budgeting for the months ahead.
Being a parent really means you're always preparing for the next season.
Currently Working On
Editing my vlogs.
I should have finished them last month, but work got busy.
I'm finally getting back to editing them, so hopefully there'll be a new vlog up soon.
Currently Learning
That simple things can become blog content.
Lately, I've shared recipes I simply created because I had a craving, little lifestyle updates, thoughts I've been having, and everyday moments that would have gone unnoticed before.
I'm enjoying documenting life as it happens instead of waiting for something "big" to write about.
Currently Cooking
Simple meals that save both time and money.
One of my favourites lately has been the sardine bread spread I recently shared on the blog. It came from a craving and turned into something the kids and I genuinely enjoyed.
It's now on my list of meals to make when I don't feel like cooking something elaborate.
Currently Wearing
My sports clothes more often.
I got a few comfortable sports wears because I've been trying to go for morning walks again, and I'm really enjoying them.
I forgot how much I loved walking until I started again.
Currently Feeling
Grateful.
The past few weeks have reminded me that building a life isn't only about reaching big milestones.
Sometimes it's enjoying breakfast, taking a morning walk, trying a new recipe, or finally sitting down to write a blog post you've been thinking about.
Currently Listening To
The sounds of the holidays.
The kids talking.
The neighbours outside.
The occasional rain.
It's definitely noisier than during the school term, but it's also a reminder that they're making memories.
Currently Struggling With
Finding enough time for my plants.
They haven't been getting as much attention as I'd like.
One of my plants is finally recovering after I thought I had lost it, while another little yam experiment seems to be giving up on me.
I still need to repot my snake plants, divide them and place them around the house. I just need to make the time—and find more soil!
Currently Excited About
This new season of blogging.
I'm writing more consistently than I have in a long time, experimenting with different formats, and genuinely enjoying the process again.
It feels like I'm slowly building the kind of blog I've always wanted—one that documents everyday life while encouraging women to create lives that feel meaningful and fulfilling.
That's what's currently going on in my little corner of the world.
