More than conquerors
As human beings we cannot prevent ourselves from feeling sad, unhappy, disappointed, jealous, envious, tired or weak inside but we can decide to not let these feelings overcome our sense of judgement or ability to try again and again until we succeed.
Dear conqueror, I pray you find the strength to overcome every negative thought or belief you have of yourself. Those negative thoughts are not true because you have the power to change your destiny. Don't forget that. I believe in you. Keep striving!
Do you watch 'Madame...Monsieur' ? - Let's talk about Passy (Muriel Blanche)
Madame...Monsieur is a series I've been watching for a few weeks now on A+ (Canal +).
I find it interesting not only as a good distraction but also as a series filled with direct and indirect life lessons.
Recently there was talk online about the role of Muriel Blanche which caught my attention. She plays the role of Passy who is not only the daughter of the wealthy Mbarga but also an entrepreneur and great support to those who need help around her - the true image of an empowered woman financially and mentally.
Passy on Facebook is referred to as 'Super Passy' because she's like the superwoman of the film. She gives moral and financial assistance to her family and friends. Passy is also kind, forgives easily, friendly and most of all she is reliable.
Her friends and family can count on her because she is empowered.
When a woman is empowered she is more reliable. She becomes a pillar with so much power to support others.
As African women, we need to rebrand our image. The image of always being in need of financial or moral assistance and doing nothing about being independent. We need more women like Passy who are strong enough financially and mentally to support others. Our society needs more of such women who can empower other women and help society to move forward.
You can be a Passy in your family or circle of friends. Don't only be the person who keeps on wishing she could help. But also be the woman who can help.
Financial empowerment gives you the ability to be less dependent. It gives you the possibility to make your own decisions and be yourself even more.
Passy's father is rich but she didn't only rely on his wealth. She makes her own money and that makes her less dependent on her family.
African women, let's strive for more in life. Let's seek to be empowered even more. You can't complain that your rights are not being respected by the same people who you go to for all your needs. He who provides for your every need will want to control you.
I hope you find the Passy in you and bring her out through your courage, determination and hard work.
And yes, hard work pays. You can work hard and earn your independence.
My blog made it to the list of ten Cameroonian bloggers to follow in 2022
Hi, I got good news.
This honestly feels like an award. To be featured among blogs like that of Enstine Muki feels amazing. Thanks to Gilles Tounsi for the feature on his blog.

Brainstorming through a distracting week
Hope you are doing well.
Life has not been easy. So many responsibilities and obligations (primarily financial) but God has been faithful.
I've been doing a lot of brainstorming about how to go about life and business. You know when things change you have to change with it. You have to step up and also modify plans in order to meet up.
I made a significant change with one of my blogs which I will share with you in the days ahead. It was a sudden decision and I love the idea because it has given me peace of mind.
To take my mind off the stress of brainstorming, I've been watching the third season of 'Madame Monsieur' on A+. It's an interesting series and I like it. But what I don't understand is why Cameroonians criticize it so much.
Another thing I'm not liking is the reaction of people towards the viral video of Tenor and Eunice who fought after a dispute or breakup. Tenor was violated in the video and most people are making fun of it because he is a man. I must confess that when I heard about what happened I thought it was just another 'Buzz' as that is what artists do now to market their work. When I saw the video I was shocked to see that it was true. In pictures, they seemed like a happy couple but in reality, one person was dying in that relationship. This confirms my thoughts when I see perfect couple pictures on the internet. I always ask myself if these perfect-looking couples even quarrel. That's a reminder that we should be careful with who we see as couple goals because you never can tell how things are working for them.
A lot of viral news has come out this week already. I hope I can stay focused enough on my goals this week.
Hello and happy new week leaders
It's in this cold and dull weather in Yaoundé that I'm doing market runs today.
Hope your week started well. As for me I can't complain because I feel motivated despite the fear and confusion that come with it. I wonder if my plans will succeed but like they say do it afraid, so that you don't regret not trying at all.
Wishing you guys a splendid new week and lots of wins.
Wedding Guest Asoebi Outfit
I was a wedding guest a few weeks ago and here is my outfit for the event.
I found the style on Pinterest and since my postpartum body has been more fitting in clothes, I chose the design to feel classy and sexy.
At first sight, this material made me wonder if it will be beautiful with the design but after sewing it turned out great.
The color that blended the most with this outfit was red that's why I chose a red bag and pair of shoes to go with it.
I loved my dress and felt comfortable in it throughout the party. And the fact that the dress had a pocket made it better.
I took these pictures right before going for the court marraige. Here are more of them.
Hey guys.. I'm back from my forced retreat
Hope you are doing well.
These past two weeks have been challenging money wise so I decided to lay low until things get better. How do you manage financial difficult periods? Do you just lay low or keep showing up like nothing do you ?
As for me, periods like this make me retreat most of the time and I become more creative both mentally and physically. And I think it's important to stay active even in the background so that when the financial means comes you are ready to move forward and you gain time.
Anyway this forced retreat made me catch up on movies that I'll post the list of the links on my entertainment blog Ngumabi's Glam. I had downloaded them a while ago but didn't watch them until now. I enjoyed watching them so it's my pleasure to recommend them too.
I attended a wedding during this period and I was on a budget while preparing to attend. I had planned to do something fancy on my hair but I ended up wearing a wig after washing my hair and doing cornrows ( bakala). I was satisfied with how I looked.
I will do a separate fashion post to show you guys my full outfit.
Now that I'm back hopefully we get to share and interact more.
I'm going to post a new vlog on YouTube soon so watch out for that these coming days.
Happy month of August
