How To Make Smart Decisions

Decision making is a complicated process especially when there's a lot at stake or lots of good things to choose from. But decisions still have to make as long as we live.

As a smart woman, you will be faced with difficult decisions. And everything may rely on your decision. Decisions on your career, relationship and life, in general, will be part of your daily routine and the decisions to take will either lead to your success or not. For this reason, you have to learn to make smart decisions in life.

How To Make Smart Decisions

The first thing you have to know how to do when it comes to decision making is;

Stepping out of your emotions and into the reality of the situation you find yourself in.

You can't make the best decision based on your emotions only. You need to face the reality of the situation because your emotions can make you blind to the other aspects of the problem.

You need logical thinking before applying your heart or emotion to it.

- Ask yourself what is the reality on the ground?

- How will it affect me if I decide to do this or that?

- What consequence can I deal with easily?

- Will I need help? Who can help me in case this or that doesn't work as planned?

Try to see the reality of the factors in that situation before you make a decision.

The second point to take into consideration when making a decision is to;

Listen to your instinct.

Yes, now you can let your emotions come in. Listen to your heart deep down inside and consider what you really want out of this issue or decision. See if it matches with the reality of the situation then find ways to adjust in order to come out with the best decision.

Note that your decision must not be perfect nor must it satisfy everyone.

Focus on and prioritize the most important factors of the problem.

Making a bad decision is not the end of the world.

We learn from a bad decision. And move on.

  1. Good blog post! I agree with the points you made about not relying on emotions and not getting discouraged by bad decisions. If we're not in the right mindset, we can say or do something we'll regret later (which may not be easy to take back). Also, life's all about learning. As long as we're alive, we're gonna make mistakes. We can either let it stop us in our tracks or keep moving forward; trusting that's God's gonna lead us in the right direction. Thanks for sharing! :)
