How to achieve your goals this year
Have you written down your goals or made a vision board and you don't know how to go about achieving it?
If you feel confused and don't know your next move after making goals, here are some tips to help you take action;
How to achieve your goals this year
Start working on your goals now
Now that you know your goals there's no time to waste. Start working on them right away. No matter how small make an effort towards achieving your goals right now.
Start with what you have, where you are and with what you can
When you don't have all the tools you need to achieve your goals, work with what you have. It will help you gain experience and knowledge on how to do better. If money needed but you don't have, ask yourself what you can do now which doesn't cost anything while working on getting the money you need.
Make a realistic short term plan
Make plans towards achieving your goals for the next three to six months. For each goal write down what you can achieve within the next three to six months or even as little as one month. This will help you see your goal as a easier and smaller task. It will also enable you to better assess your efforts.
Track your progress
Your goals and tasks should be qualitative and quantitative to enable you track your progress. If your main goal this year is to make lots of profit this year then quantify your goal by adding the month that you actually expect to start making these profits and write down approximately how much money or the number of sales you need to have to make a huge profit. Profits come from sales so if you say you want to sell at least a hundred products a month because a hundred products gives you a huge profit then quantify your goal in that manner. That way you will make sales efforts worth a hundred products and more to meet your target. Also during the months that you don't reach your target of selling a hundred products, you will be able to calculate how close or far away you are from the target. It will also help you to track the months you surpassed your expectations.
Evaluate at the end of the short term period your methods, efforts and progress
After every short term period you planned for, evaluate the methods you used, the efforts you made and your progress. Ask yourself if your efforts so far is getting you closer to your major goal.
Make more plans
Make new or better plans after each short term period. Change your tools or methods if necessary and keep making efforts to achieve your goals.
