Life Lately || Travelling To Harvest Groundnuts, Weaning My Baby & My First Brand Deal!
Groundnut Harvesting...
It's harvesting season in Cameroon so we travelled to Tangui to help my mum and grandma harvest groundnuts. They had planted about four buckets of groundnuts and really needed help with the harvesting. We spent a week and a few days there.
I mostly stayed at home to take care of housework and cooking while the others went to the farm. I went to harvest once and it was interesting as I haven't been to the farm in a long time.
The best part of our stay was eating the freshly harvested boiled groundnuts. I decided to have no moderation while eating so enjoyed myself. My fear of putting on weight was there but I tried to balance that by skipping breakfast, lunch or supper and eating my groundnuts in their place.
Eating groundnuts became my source of comfort because I was weaning my daughter and my breasts were so sore. Sleeping or carrying her was so difficult because it was painful. So painful. But by the time we were about to return to Yaoundé, the pain and soreness reduced. Thank God for the tips I got from my mum and grandma. Honestly, I thought the pain will never end and that my breasts will never get back to normal. But now they are regaining the size they had before I got pregnant and it feels amazing to see my body change that way.
Talking about changes, I reached a major milestone in my blogging career and I feel so happy about it. I got my very first brand deal from a Cameroonian cosmetic brand! This is the motivation I have been praying to God for and it's here. I announced this first and did an unboxing of the products in a video on my YouTube Channel.

These products came right on time because I did some braids which cut my hair in front. I need treatment to help it grow again. I also need products to soften my hair since I'm keeping natural hair right now. And I want a dandruff free hair journey with no scalp itches. I really want to step up my hair game so I have been thinking of products to use for that.
While at my mum's, I started using the products and I will share a review with you guys when I'm done. The products they sent to me by Green Life Bate (GLB) and are natural hair products to treat hair, make your hair grow and stop itchy scalp. I received three products which included a har shampoo, hair butter and hair growth oil. I'm putting them to the test so I'll share the results with you after I use them.

We are back in Yaoundé and it is back to business and usual. I thank God for giving us journey mercies throughout this trip. I hope that you enjoyed this experience I shared with you. Thanks for reading and I pray that you support my blog by sharing my posts with your friends on social media and leaving your thoughts in the comment section below this post. Thank you!
I was going to make a vlog of my stay in Tangui at my mum's but I lost all the videos I made so it's unfortunate. I feel so bad and hurt right now. My phone went off unexpectantly and everything got lost.
To make the mood better, here is a picture of my tomatoes. I returned and found them bright red. I grew these tomatoes in a broken bucket on my balcony. I really love doing this and intend to plant more. I will share more about it in subsequent posts.
