Here is how to cook 'nkumnkum' or couscous manioc
Ingredients
To do this you need
- nkumnkum to dry cassava flour and
- hot water.
Preparation
Boil water according to the amount of fufu you want to cook
Put in the fufu and stir till thick and mixed. If you are cooking it on a gas cooker you can put the pot down when you want to mix it.
If the texture is hard add some water (just a little) and let it cook on low heat for a few minutes. if the texture is ok then don't add water. Just put it back on the fire and cover the pot.
After a few minutes; put down the pot and mix the fufu very well till it's smooth
Serve with any soup you like.
I added this quantity of water to it because the texture was soft enough. Then I put it back for the fire and let it cook under very low heat for a few more minutes |
After that I took down the pot again and mixed it to be smooth |
