I'm not that much of a football fan but this AFCON has been the best I have witnessed.
The games were played on the pitch and on social media and that's what made it lit. The contribution of influencers like Coco Emilia, Nathalie Koah, Mani Bella, Ivana Ononino, Chouchoumpako, Jooorina (The hair lover) and many others made the competition filled with a lot of competition at all levels. They told the story of the competition in various ways with the same objective - to make the name of Cameroon travel far and wide and valorize our potential.
Let me not get emotional already - but we did a good job and had the most mediatized competition so far!
Now that it's over, people are returning to saying "No" to the mobile money tax, Eto's is negotiating for more stadiums to be constructed, the normal daily news is making headlines again and the joy of Senegalese the champions of Africa is really visible.
Life is coming back to normal as we look forward to AFCON 2023 in Ivory Coast.
And while we were carried away by football preparations for Women's Day started with the release of the fabric for the day. I must say that I love the design of the fabric this year and I love the orange colour more.
Another thing that grew during the AFCON 2021 is the popularity of two brothers Ego and Prido who are thrilling us with a new vibe of music. I honestly think these boys will go far because when I look at them I think of Wizkid for some reason. They sing rap but in a melodious way. The rhyme, the rhythm, plus what they say which is sweet and funny makes them stand out. If you can check out this song on Facebook (click here).
Apart from that, the general atmosphere in Cameroon is that we are happy with the third position and life is going on as usual.
